Courses

Each fall Six Pretty Good offers a selection of seminars for incoming first-years. Posing open questions to the traditional "great books" format, the coureses invite students to consider why we might consider something "good" and interogate how these foundational works become just that, foundational.

Each course’s seminar meetings are held separately, but classes come together on Fridays for three-hour lab sessions that introduce students to the principles of academic writing and teach them how to access and work with institutional collections. All Six Pretty Good courses count for one and a half credits and fulfill the WR requirement.
